From September 25 through October 10, the eyes of the equestrian world will be on Lexington, Kentucky and the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Hundreds of the world’s top horses and their riders will converge on the Kentucky Horse Park to compete in the world championships of eight equestrian disciplines. And Team SUCCEED® wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Besides booths where you can come chat equine nutrition and the benefits of SUCCEE®D with us, we’ll be involved in the opening ceremonies, Arabian breed demonstrations, and even raffling off a beautiful Arabian gelding. World Equestrian Games Opening Ceremony
When: September 25, 7:00 pm
Where: KY Horse Park Outdoor Stadium
What: Riding in “The Arabian Horse Then and Now” segment
Members of the SUCCEED® family will be actively involved in the opening ceremony at WEG. Bill Rodgers and Raegan Knotts of Freedom Farm Equestrian Research Center, the training and research facility for SUCCEED® Digestive Conditioning Program®, will participate in a portion of the program titled “The Arabian Horse Then and Now”.
Plans for the segment include a video presentation by HRH Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation. Bill Rodgers will be riding Aequus, the all-time winningest Arabian park horse, and wearing Prince Nawaf bin Faisel’s native costume. Raegan will be wearing a vintage ladies side saddle costume modeled after one belonging to the Empress of Austria as she rides The Big Oh!, multiple time national champion. Bill and Raegan will be joined by WN Knight Rider bred by Wayne Newton and other Arabian horses who are living legends among the breed.

What: Arabian Horse Seminar
Learn all about the Arabian breed with Team SUCCEED® for the Arabian Horse Association. US Arabian Horse Trainer of the Year and SUCCEED® sponsored rider John Rannenberg will narrate. Demonstration riders include Bill Rodgers and Aequus, Raegan Knotts and The Big Oh! and Marikate Matthews riding For The Love Of Thunder. Combined, this group of horses and riders have won over 25 national championships. The presentation will include information on the Arabian horse breed and disciplines, and will include a question and answer session.
Arabian Horse Raffle To Benefit AHA Youth Fund
When: September 25-October 1
Where: Brumfield Hay and Grain, IEF, and WEG
What: Win an Arabian horse
Raffle: Tickets $10 each
SUCCEED®, along with several equestrian organizations, is sponsoring the raffle of an Arabian gelding during the World Equestrian Games. Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds will go to benefit the Arabian Horse Association’s youth fund. The raffle winner will receive the purebred Arabian horse trained in endurance as well as a selection of tack, feed, SUCCEED® Digestive Conditioning Program®, and other items.
Brumfield Hay and Grain, located at 2285 Maggard Drive in Lexington will be assisting in the raffle. You will be able to see the lovely gray Arabian gelding, donated by Al Marah Farms, at Brumfield, as well as purchase tickets there. Brumfield is conveniently located next to one of the World Equestrian Games parking lots with shuttle service to the KY Horse Park.
Raffle tickets will be available at the SUCCEED® booth at Brumfield Hay and Grain as well as at the International Equestrian Festival in downtown Lexington, or at the Arabian Gallery at the Kentucky Horse Park.
