Lendon Gray’s Weekend Educational Program for Riders

Lendon Gray’s 9th Annual Weekend Educational Program for Riders is coming up this weekend in Woodbury, Connecticut. Sessions for dressage riders, eventers, judges, and instructors cover a huge variety of topics throughout the weekend, including a presentation on equine digestive health by Freedom Health’s Lyndsey White.

The program will take place Saturday and Sunday, January 29-30, 2011 at the Nonnewaug Regional School, 5 Minortown Rd, Woodbury, CT. There is an entire series of lectures dedicated to Dressage Riders, Pony Clubbers and Event riders, as well as presentations geared to instructors, adult amateurs and youth of all levels and ages. This exciting weekend includes:

  • Lectures on subjects including vet care, stable management, and riding theory. Lyndsey will be teaching on how to promote the overall health of the equine digestive tract.
  • Peer roundtable discussions for parents, professionals, and youth heading toward the North American Junior/Young Rider Dressage and Eventing Championships.
  • A meeting for the Region 8 and Area 1 potential Dressage and Eventing team members for planning fundraising, coaching, and transportation to NAJYRC.
  • The Connecticut Dressage Association Vista Vintage Award Program is sponsoring a session geared toward the care and training of the older horse.

At-the-door admission fees are $60 for both days, or $40 for one day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about all areas of horsemanship, riding, and horse care as well as to network with horsey people from all over the industry. We hope to see you there!

Be sure to check back for a recap from Lyndsey on this great event.
